The 1 Change That Took Me to 100K/Yr
Hey Happy Friday.
I’m flying out to Texas this weekend, and it hit me—C O V I D is the reason I'm successful.
Yep, you read that right.
If it weren’t for the lockdowns in 2020, I would’ve quit barbering a long time ago.
I was so burnt out. Every night I’d run the totals—maybe 200-300 a day.
Sounds decent, but when you’re squeezing in clients every waking hour, it doesn’t feel worth it.
I had the passion, but I was executing all wrong.
It’s like trying to reach Texas by walking. Sure it'll be fun when I'm there but is it really worth walking it?
I was ready to quit and say “At least I tried”.
But I realized all I needed to do was change my approach. During the break, I reorganized my entire business.
Instead of walking, I built myself a plane—AKA a business plan that allowed me to bring in better rev with fewer hours.
I used my plan to fly to my destination faster and easier.
Eventually, I hit my first 100K year working less than ever before.
If I hadn’t taken the time to reorganize, I would’ve missed out on becoming a figure in the barbering industry.
So take my advice: Sometimes, you have to ask yourself—are you burning out by walking toward your destination?
If so, you gotta find a better way
It’s not just about working harder, it’s about working smarter at the same time.
Don't burn yourself out before you reach your destination,
Best,
Jorge
P.S. I’m not sure how long I’ll be running this 15 percent code. I’m moving towards a fresh project.
